Drive Modes
Drive Modes
Your vehicle can be set to your preferred driving and regenerative braking modes. You can opt for more comfortable and less responsive vehicle controls in order to increase energy efficiency. See Regenerative Braking.
The Drive Mode is selected via a button on the right steering wheel controls. Press the switch to cycle between drive modes.
The current Drive Mode is displayed on the Driver Display, to the left of the charge meter.
Earth Mode
Earth Mode helps to lower energy consumption while driving. When activated, the driver experiences lower than average acceleration. Energy efficiency is maximized in this mode. Energy captured from regenerative braking is maximized in this mode
Fun Mode
With Fun Mode activated, the driver experiences normal steering, acceleration and energy efficiency. Regenerative braking is set to medium level in this mode
Hyper Mode (If equipped)
Hyper Mode provides quick, powerful acceleration. Accelerator pedal has instant response, and regenerative braking is set to its lowest level.
Boost Mode (If equipped)
WARNING: It is recommended that this mode is used only by advanced and skilled drivers, in suitable environments.
CAUTION: Hard acceleration (including, but not limited to, using Boost Mode) increases the wear and tear on vehicle hardware.
While Hyper Mode is selected, you can initiate a Boost for a burst of maximum acceleration.
To activate: a Boost
-
Ensure that Hyper Mode is selected.
-
Use the Central Touchscreen to select > Driving.
-
Press to toggle Boost On.
To disable Boost mode, press again to toggle Boost Off, or select a different Drive Mode.
Note: Boosts are limited to protect the service life of the drive motors. The number of Boosts remaining are displayed on this screen. When you have reached the maximum number of Boosts, the Central Touchscreen notifies you and further Boosts cannot be initiated.
-
The vehicle automatically preconditions if needed.
-
When Boost is ready and it is safe to do so, reduce the vehicle speed to less than 4 mph (6 km/h).
-
Fully press and hold the accelerator pedal and feel the Boost!
Note: If the vehicle preconditioning fails or if a Boost is attempted before the system is ready, the Central Touchscreen displays a Boost Restricted notification and the Boost will not activate. A Boost Ready notification displays when Boost is available.
