Exterior Mirrors
Exterior Mirrors
WARNING: Dependant upon the type of mirror glass fitted to your vehicle, distances may be difficult to judge accurately. Objects viewed in the mirror may be closer than they appear.
The positions of the exterior side mirrors can be adjusted using the driver’s door controls.
-
Press to select a mirror to adjust. The indicator light on the switch for the selected mirror illuminates.
Note: If the mirror switches are not operated for 60 seconds, the indicator light for the selected mirror extinguishes and the mirrors can no longer be adjusted.
-
Use the directional switch to adjust a selected mirror in the desired direction.
Note: Press and hold the directional switch for continuous movement, or use short presses for smaller adjustments.
-
Press to fold or unfold both mirrors.
Note: Mirrors can only be folded when the vehicle speed is below 19 mph (30 km/h). When the speed exceeds this threshold, the mirrors automatically unfold and the switch is disabled.
Once an adjustment has been made, the new mirror position automatically saves to the current Driver Profile.
Automatic folding and unfolding (If equipped)
The exterior mirrors can be set to automatically fold when the vehicle is locked after exiting, and unfold when the vehicle is unlocked on approach.
To activate or deactivate this feature via the Central Touchscreen, select > Doors and Mirrors. Press to toggle Auto Fold On or Off.
Reverse auto-tilt (If equipped)
When the reverse auto-tilt feature is activated, the glass in both mirrors tilts downward slightly when the gear is in R (Reverse). This improves your view of the curb and other low-lying objects while reversing.
To activate or deactivate this feature via the Central Touchscreen, select > Doors and Mirrors. Press to toggle Auto Tilt Mirrors On or Off.
Heating and defrosting (If equipped)
The exterior side mirror defrost feature activates when the front or rear defrost buttons are activated. See Defrost.
