Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
WARNING: The TPMS is not a substitute for manually checking tire pressures. The TPMS only provides a tire pressure warning and does not re-inflate the tires.
WARNING: The TPMS cannot register damage to a tire. Regularly check the condition of your tires.
WARNING: Do not use any tire liquid or aerosol tire sealant other than the one supplied with the vehicle.
The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) indirectly monitors the pressure of the tires using information from the Anti-lock Braking System wheel speed sensor to detect under-inflation.
Note: Installing tire sizes that are not authorized by Fisker may interfere with the TPMS system.
Note: There are no tire pressure sensors installed in the wheels.
Tire pressure warnings are displayed on the Driver Display using an amber warning indicator (telltale).
The tire pressure warning indicator will illuminate if a tire is under-inflated.
If the tire pressure warning indicator illuminates, stop and check your tires as soon as possible and inflate them to the correct pressure. If the tire pressure warning occurs frequently, the cause must be determined and rectified.
Tire pressure information display
When the tire pressure warning indicator (telltale) illuminates, a second warning indicator highlights the affected wheel(s) in amber.
TPMS malfunction
Your vehicle has also been equipped with an TPMS malfunction indicator to indicate when the system is not operating properly.
The TPMS malfunction indicator is combined with the low tire pressure telltale. When the system detects a malfunction, the telltale will flash for approximately one minute and then remain continuously illuminated. This sequence will continue upon subsequent vehicle start-ups as long as the malfunction exists.
When the malfunction indicator is displayed, the system may not be able to detect or signal low tire pressure as intended. TPMS malfunctions may occur for a variety of reasons, including the installation of replacement or alternate tires or wheels on the vehicle that prevent the TPMS from functioning properly. Always check the TPMS malfunction indicator after replacing one or more tires or wheels on your vehicle to ensure that the replacement or alternate tires and wheels allow the TPMS to function properly.
TPMS reset
The tire pressure warning indicator on the Driver Display and Center Display will not automatically turn off when the tire pressure is adjusted for all four tires.
After the tires are inflated to the correct pressures, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) system must be manually reset via the Central Touchscreen.
Select > Vehicle and Service, then press Reset Tire Pressure.
Note: The vehicle gear must be in P (Park) to initiate a tire pressure reset. If another gear is selected, the option to reset will be unselectable.
In the next prompt, press Reset to begin the process, or Cancel to exit to the previous screen.
When Reset is pressed, the system will reset the TPMS system and prompt you when the process is completed. Press Okay to finish.
Note: The calibration to update and display actual tire pressure information may take up to 20 minutes.
