Starting

Starting

Your vehicle does not require turning a key or pressing a switch to start it. If a valid key fob is recognized when the driver’s door is opened, the Driver Display and Central Touchscreen power On, indicating the vehicle is ready to operate.

READY mode

READY mode enables the driver to select D (Drive), or R (Reverse).

Note: You cannot put the vehicle into READY mode if a charging cable is connected to the vehicle.

While sitting in the driver’s seat, press the brake pedal to put the car in READY mode.

The vehicle searches for a valid key fob. If one is detected, the vehicle is allowed to enter READY mode. If no valid key fob is detected, a message displays on the Driver Display. See Key fob not detected.

The READY indicator (telltale) illuminates on the Driver Display when the key fob is detected and the brake pedal is pressed.

Select a gear to drive the vehicle. See Selecting a Gear.

Key fob not detected

If no recognized key fob is detected inside the vehicle when you press the brake pedal, a notification displays on the Driver Display.

If the key fob is inside the vehicle and it is not being detected, try replacing the battery. See Replacing the Key Fob Battery.

If the vehicle still cannot be started, please contact Fisker via the Fisker App.

Note: A number of factors can affect whether the key fob is detected by the vehicle. These include a low key fob battery, interference from other devices using radio signals, and objects between the key and receiver.

Key fob no longer detected

If your vehicle is in READY mode and the vehicle can no longer detect the key fob inside the vehicle, the vehicle will not power Off immediately.

Note: The vehicle will power Off after 15 minutes when a key fob is not detected and the vehicle is at a standstill (i.e., not driving).
