Using Seat Belts When Pregnant
WARNING: Pregnant women should always wear seat belts to protect themselves and their unborn child.
WARNING: Never place anything between you and the seat belt to cushion the impact in the event of a collision.
The lap portion of the seat belt should be worn as low as possible across the hips, not the waist. Position the shoulder part of the belt between the breasts and to the side of the abdomen. Ensure that the belt has no slack and is not twisted.
If you have any concerns about wearing seat belts, consult with your physician.
