About the Vehicle Batteries

There are two types of batteries powering your vehicle. The 12V battery powers the standard low-voltage systems, such as the climate controls, door locks, and airbags. The high-voltage lithium-ion battery powers the propulsion system and recharges the 12V battery.
Your vehicle has a high-voltage to low-voltage energy transfer feature that keeps the 12V battery charged by the high-voltage battery. If the 12V battery level is low, the high-voltage battery transfers energy to the 12V battery.
ENVIRONMENTAL: Please recycle the 12V battery in accordance with local regulations. The high-voltage battery should be recycled by Fisker. See High-Voltage Battery Recycling Process.
